how long should i start planning my wedding?

we are already had our civil wedding 3 1/2 yrs ago but are planning on our church wedding for august 2012. how much time do i need in advanced? a year? year and a half?
also i love the color teal (its like a blue greenish color) but i dont know if i should do
teal and white
or
teal and chocolate brown?
what do you think?

I’m contemplating buying a David’s Bridal wedding gown from a thrift store. It’s very nice, but all David’s gowns seem so… run of the mill. There’s nothing about them that reall makes them stand out. Any ideas on how to give a gown a more personal or custom look would be appreciated. Thanks.

I already got a marriage commissioner to do a simple private ceremony and the paper work before.
Now, Me and my wife is planning to do a real wedding ceremony to invite our friends and families. I wonder how I should do it? Is it possible to skip the papers? I dont want the guest to know about it.

Crazy mishap with my wedding dress, and I have two. Don’t ask. lol
Anyway, my question is, which one is better? Keep in mind, I just got off work in the pics, and I’m not wearing a bra, or corset.
The first one is a lace, zip up dress (Which I want to alter to make a lace up), and it’s a Vera Wang dress.

I have been engaged for a long time and want to have a wedding! I want it outdoors, and have some basic ideas. However, we are not financially well-off (nor is either family) and have a hard time saving money. Any ideas how to save, cut costs with photography, reception food, catering, etc. I appreciate any advice. What did you do for your thrifty outdoor wedding?
